Scripture – Acts 25:19
Rather they had several points of disagreement with him about their own religion and about a man named Jesus who was dead, whom Paul claimed to be alive.
Festus is a total outsider to all of this. Felix was married to a Jew so he had some idea. This was literally foreign to Festus. While he heard religious squabbling, he also heard about Jesus being raised from the dead.
What does the world hear from us, from me? Do they hear religious arguments about finer points of contention, or do they hear about Jesus being alive? Hopefully they hear about Jesus.
Lord, help me to keep you as the center, the focus of everything that comes from my interactions with people, even the arguments.
