Since I stopped pastoring a church, people have asked, “What do you miss most about it?” The answer is teaching. I miss the experience of learning, being convicted, being encouraged by the word and the Spirit, and conveying that to others. I need to teach.
So here is what I propose.
I’m thinking of doing some live online teaching and calling it, “Bible Hangouts.” Google has a live video group participation thing called Google Hangouts. I would use that to teach. People could participate live, or watch it afterward like any other sermon or Bible study. I’m not sure when (what day or time of day) I would do it. Probably an evening thing.
My question is this; how many people would be interested in either participating live, or would watch after the fact? My current plan is to continue to teach through Luke which is what I was teaching at the church. Who would be in for that?
