If you’ve been visiting the blog with any frequency lately (all three of you) you must have noticed that I keep changing up the theme for the blog. My frustration has been that when I find a theme I like it doesn’t work with the widgets I want to use, or it doesn’t use them they way I want it too. The blog has gone through at least two transplants. From being a RapidWeaver driven blog, to being a Blogger driven blog, now to wordpress. It might change up again. My only concern in doing this is for anyone who subscribes via the RSS feed. If I change it up it will probably break that. I’m considering going back to RapidWeaver, maybe even iWeb. I might run a parallel blog on iWeb and ask people to rate their experience on it as well.

I’m going to be revamping the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes all of the media libraries and podcasts work. That means some stuff won’t be available. Sorry for the downtime but the results will be much cooler. Stay tuned…

UPDATE – Only the page to access the Acts studies works for now. Video has now been added to these studies, as well as a video podcast in the Podcast page. Be sure to check them out!

I confess that I have not been the most responsible blog and podcast caretaker in the past. But that’s changing! I do have a Q&A podcast. However the last time it was updated with and actual question and answer was October of 2005! So, throw those Bible questions my way and I will do my best. Who knows? (Trumpets: doo do do dooooo) I have been appointed the new pastor of the Calvary Chapel in Forest Grove, OR. Yikes! I wasn’t even LOOKING for it, and there it is. In another post I will chat a bit about calling and what I have learned what it means to be called. It isn’t what I thought it was. Anyway, as I said in an earlier post, this is where I will put all of the Sunday studies and anything else we do there. We are going to launch into a series on the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. After that we are going to see the Spirit and His gifts in action in the Book of Acts. When I was pastoring in Aberdeen, SD I began a study through Acts but only made it to chapter 13. Hopefully (read that prayerfully) we will make it all the way through. The website for the church is ccforestgrove.org.

This site (TheBlueThread.org) will also serve as the home of my Pastor’s Blog. I also have a MySpace page with some blog entries. I will be relocating my blogs from there to here. No more of this blog blog here, blog blog there, here a blog, there a blog, everywhere a blog blog!

Man. This blog thing among pastors and is really taking off. I’ve gotten lazy. I gotta get back on the horse. As a part of that effort I gave the site a face lift. You like? I will try to be more regular. That is, more regular with the blog stuff. (You never know who is reading this stuff! You gotta be specific.) This website will function as the storehouse for not only my blogging but also any and all Bible teaching I get to do. As often and the Lord seems to move us around there needs to be one place to call home on the web. So here it is!
